The Circus Bar is a quirky new popup bar come dining venue directly outside the upper level of the Southbank Centre.
It’s a multi Tipi structure made up of three connected rooms; a central bar with a lounge and a dinning / cooking space in the outer rooms.
I met friends there for drinks during a downpour so I can confirm that it stays warm and cosy inside albeit with a slightly smokey atmosphere from the open fires at each end.
The space is open for corporate bookings in the run up to the festive season, but also open for walk-ins. We went just to meet for drinks, but a couple of people did sample some of the food on offer, which is prepared on site.
The Circus Bar is open daily, 11am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11am to 11pm Fridays and Saturday until December 27th 2018.
